The Lafayette Apartments provides a myriad of amenities including direct access to the Haven Creek Boat & Kayak Launch, Panoramic River & City Views, Resident Lounge & Business Center, Community Yoga Room,
Laundry Care Center, State-Of-The-Art Fitness Center, Package Receiving Center, and Bike Storage.
Our community offers parking lot parking in an uncovered lot.
We are pet-friendly at Hyde Park. We allow up to 2 pets in the home. There is a one-time, non-refundable pet fee of $350 for the first pet and $150 for the second. The monthly pet rent is $40/month per pet. All pets must be approved by management; PRG reserves the right to approve or deny pet applications.
No, our community does not offer furnished apartments for rent.
The Lafayette has a package locker service on-site.

A 6-month lease term is the minimum lease term we offer. Our lease terms range from 6-months to 18-months.
When you first apply, there is a $50 application fee due for each applicant. At move-in, a one-time, nonrefundable amenity fee of $200 will be charged, along with a security deposit, which starts at $500 and may range up to one full month’s rent depending on the results of your credit and rental history check.
Rent can be paid online, in person at our leasing office, or through the Rent Café resident app.
Additional fees and monthly utilities include:
- Valet Trash Fee: $25/month
- Pest Control - $4/month
- Utilities are billed through Hrubbs and vary per usage
Yes, renters insurance is required at our community.
No, apartment sublets are not allowed at The Lafayette.

Our community is easily accessible by public transportation! There are several bus stops within 1 mile of The Lafayette along Granby and Newport Streets.
Our community is located in the Colonial Place neighborhood of Norfolk, VA
This area is served by the Norfolk City Public Schools attendance zone.
Lafayette Park is a 10-minute walk from the community. The park offers walking and biking trails as well as a kayak launch.
Our community is situated a short drive away from Colley Village and Ghent Market Shoppes, both of which offer a selection of unique stores.
The Starving Artist Café is a four-minute drive from our community.
From Hampton: Follow I-64 E to US-460 W/Granby St in Norfolk. Take exit 276 from I-64 E.
From Virginia Beach: Follow I-264 W to US-460 E/VA-166 N/VA-168 N/E Brambleton Ave in Norfolk. Take exit 11B from I-264 W. Continue on US-460 E/E Brambleton Ave. Take Church St and Llewellyn Ave to Mayflower Rd.
