Nick is a FANTASTIC Addition to the Lafayette Maintenance St
Nick stopped into my apartment on Wednesday to perform routine preventative maintenance on the smoke detectors and convection ... units. I mentioned one of the convection units was not working and he quickly assessed the situation and put in a work order for it. He also mentioned the smoke detector in my bedroom was not working, putting a work order in for that as well. Imagine my surprise when he returned less than 24 hours later, not only replacing my smoke detector, but fixing my convection unit as well. With the temperatures reaching near 100 degrees this week, having an extra convection unit providing cold air is really nice. Nick was very pleasant, professional, informing me of what he was doing as he worked on the repairs. I could tell he was sympathetic to my situation and appreciate all his efforts. This morning I noticed water dripping very slowly from the ceiling. I reported the issue with Kyla in the office, and she created a work order for me. Nick was here in less than 10 minutes, checked the ceiling and found the issue was from a drainage issue in the convection unit in the apartment above me. After repairing the upstairs unit, he stopped by to let me know everything was ok. Quick response times from the maintenance staff (Nick) and wonderful, friendly office staff (Felicia and Kyla) are just some of the reasons I love living at The Lafayette! I like the location of Lafayette because it is centrally located and accessible to all major cities and venues. I enjoy the ... large and spacious bedrooms and the wide open floor plans. The local dog park is conveniently located and they are plenty of biking and walking pass for you to enjoy Not to mention a white room that meets all of my needs for maintaining my physical fitness. I really enjoyed the location the size of the apartments in the large rooms that come with the apartment. The location provides ... accessibility to just about everything. I appreciate the activities provided by the management of the building. I love the dog bar and the gym is well equipped. There is access to a dog park in the surrounding area of colonial Place provides excellent walking pass not to mention all the support from the staff that is provided to all residents. Kyla has made everything easy since the day I initially toured the apartment. I was very specific in what I was looking to ... see and have for my new place to which she offered a secondary tour and even went as far as providing images of the various layouts they had to offer. I would very much like to let those responsible know that I placed a work order for required maintenance needed for both ... my bathroom facets this week. This work order was processed immediately and in a very professional manner. I am nearly 80 years old and have lived at Lafayette Towers for 30 years now and have seen many maintenance staff members. I can say without question that Walter, the head of maintenance is rated at the top of my list. He is always prompt and professional and knowledgeable about the maintenance issue in question. Walter has responded to several maintenance worker order I have made and he has resolved these issues immediately and successfully; you can't ask for anything more than that. If I could I would love to recommend that Walter receive a bonus or a certificate for all of his hard work. I can't say enough about Walter and the Office Staff; everyone is so wonderful. I hope and pray that I am still here for another 30 years. Please let them know how much I appreciate everything they do for me. I love them all. Thank you for taking the time to read my comments.
